Dear Friends in Christ,
The month of April took us to Coshocton ,Ohio where we had great meetings. Glenn preached all week and Crosspoint played. On Monday evening a young boy was saved following the service. Then we left Ohio and went to Texas. We had several churches scheduled there and God really blessed. There was a wonderful moving of the Holy Spirit. We had tremendous fellowship, received great acts of kindness, and of course ate too much!
Our lives are not without excitement on the road. While we were in Fort Worth Texas, we had a church scheduled for the morning that we’ve been to before. I was running late and wasn’t ready to leave on time so Glenn and the kids went to church to drop things off and then Glenn would return to get me. They pulled up to the side of the church building as they always do. With the wind its nice to have a close entry. As they were unloading the wind took the church door and blew it right off the hinges!!! They went ahead and unloaded and then Glenn picked the door up and put it back in place. It was then that they discovered the van was stuck in the mud! Glenn pushed while Rick drove and they were making progress when Glenn suddenly slipped and fell in the mud in his dress clothes!!! The van had to be pulled out later. Glenn had to borrow the pastors vehicle to come pick me up at the motel. We arrived back at church a few minutes before the service began. Wow, what a start to our long day!
At the end of the month we went to a camp meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. Rick and Sarah were unable to attend so Glenn invited some of his students from Seminole, Alabama. They played with Glenn and me and did a fabulous job. We got a few new churches from that meeting.
In May we had our annual Shelbyville Bluegrass Gospel Festival at the park in town. We had a great attendance of over 200 and the five bands that played did a super job. This festival is always a great opportunity to let people hear the gospel who probably wouldn’t attend church. If you’re ever in our area be sure to attend. It’s a real time of refreshing.
