September Newsletter

Dear Friends in Christ:

Praise the Lord the wheels are still moving quickly under Crosspoint Ministries as we go down the road for Jesus! With over 10,000 miles of travel in June, July and August, we still stand amazed that God is using us and giving us His power and grace.

JUNE brought us to Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and New York. One highlight of many was going for the 9th year in a row to Cornerstone Bible Baptist tent meeting in Sanborn, NY, with Pastor Jack Britt. It was a joy almost 10 years ago to start this church and now see Pastor Britt’s great faithfulness bring it to an exciting solid church.  JULY brought us to Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and  Mt. View, Arkansas with Pastor Jim Chandler. It was our first time to play for the Lord in Arkansas and Arbana Baptist  made it worth our trip! It was really exciting to see dozens of people picking and singing in the town square. We’re told this happens almost every night. We had to slap ourselves to be sure we weren’t in Heaven!!!  I preached most of the month of AUGUST while Rick and Sarah took a long deserved break. I’ll be doing this more often from time to time sharing the deep burden I have for revival in America, encouraging pastors and churches as we go. What a thrill it was to see altars filled praying for our country and for our President, Vice President, and others to be saved.

It’s time again to cheer our ENVELOPE ENCOURAGERS! We’re sure this monthly support for gas was given sacrificially by many and also sure that this giving allows us to go and preach the gospel. Thank God for the giving so we can go.

Pray for Shelley. On top of everything else, she has gallstone problems and her nasal polyps have totally filled her sinuses giving her a hard time breathing and hearing loss. Please pray hard. Please pray that our schedule will fill up for 2011, helping those who have started churches, encouraging small churches and blessing bigger churches with more opportunities to preach. Pray without ceasing for souls to be saved, safety on the road and supply to do this impossible task without God and the help of God’s people.

You have loved us and we love you! There will be time in Heaven to tell you how much your love has lifted us up in low times and put wind in our sales to keep serving.

May, June Newsletter

Dear Friends in Christ,

The month of April took us to Coshocton ,Ohio where we had great meetings. Glenn preached all week and Crosspoint played. On Monday evening a young boy was saved following the service. Then we left Ohio and went to Texas. We had several churches scheduled there and God really blessed. There was a wonderful  moving of the Holy Spirit. We had tremendous fellowship, received great acts of kindness, and of course ate too much!

Our lives are not without excitement on the road. While we were in Fort Worth Texas, we had a church scheduled for the morning that we’ve been to before. I was running late and wasn’t ready to leave on time so Glenn and the kids went to church to drop things off and then Glenn would return to get me. They pulled up to the side of the church building as they always do. With the  wind its nice to have a close entry. As they were unloading the wind took the church door and blew it right off the hinges!!! They went ahead and unloaded and then Glenn picked the door up and put it back in place. It was then that they discovered the van was stuck in the mud! Glenn pushed while Rick drove and they were making progress when Glenn suddenly slipped and fell in the mud in his dress clothes!!! The van had to be pulled out later. Glenn had to borrow the pastors vehicle to come pick me up at the motel. We arrived back at church a few minutes before the service began. Wow, what a start to our long day!

At the end of the month we went to a camp meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. Rick and Sarah were unable to attend so Glenn invited some of his students from Seminole, Alabama. They played with Glenn and me and did a fabulous job. We got a few new churches from that meeting.

In May we had our annual Shelbyville Bluegrass Gospel Festival at the park in town. We had a great attendance  of over 200 and the five bands that played did a super job. This festival is always a great opportunity to let people hear the gospel who probably wouldn’t attend church. If you’re ever in our area be sure to attend. It’s a real time of refreshing.

Well, we don’t want to close this letter without making you aware of the fact that our new CD is now available. “The Best is Yet to Come” is a CD with songs that are sure to bless your heart.
